What is Transient Ischemic Attack?
Transient ischemic attack also known as TIA is a type of temporary stroke. It is caused by sudden block of blood vessel in brain which results in decreased blood supply to a particular part of brain resulting in dysfunctioning for a temporary period of time that is less than 24 hours. It may result in blindness, paralysis of a part of body, slurred speech or altered state of consciousness. In TIA these symptoms always resolve in less than 24 hours.
