What is Transaxillary Breast Augmentation?
This surgical procedure uses an incision placed in a natural fold of the underarm to gain entrance to the inside of the breast. The area containing the surgical wound is not usually exposed, so the scar will be well hidden except under close examination. A well placed scar will not look obvious even if viewed directly, since it is often mistaken for an organic fold in the skin. This procedure is preferred by many doctors and patients alike, since it does not scar the breast, nor create the potential for many of the usual incision related complications.
