Family traits are physical, behavioral, or mental peculiarities which belong to an individual and link him or her to a larger group. For example, green eyes are a physical trait which are inherited. Biologists and behavioralists have linked tendencies to shyness or violence to genetic traits, though studies have shown that these behavioral tendencies are generally lose. That is, lots of violence-prone individuals (as per DNA) are not violent, and the majority of violent people develop violent tendencies as the result of childhood trauma (proven when those with non-violent DNA are raised to be violent by violent caregivers who are not violent as per their DNA).
