What is TOYO Teens?
TOYO Teens stands for “Ten Outstanding Young Omaha Teens”. It is an annual project sponsored by the Omaha Jaycees to recognize ten students between the ages of 13 and 19 who are giving back to Omaha through volunteerism and community action. 2009 is the fifth year for the TOYO Teens event. 2. Who should apply for this honor? Teens in the Omaha Metro Area who are active in the community, their schools, or religious organizations should apply. If you are giving back, we want to know about it. 3. Why should teens apply for this honor? The 2009 TOYO Teens will be honored with an awards ceremony at the Village Pointe Amphitheatre on May 3, 2009. Additionally they will receive $100 from the Omaha Jaycees and Omaha Jaycees Foundation, as well as, a gift bag from the Village Pointe vendors. 4. How can I recommend a teen for this award?
