WHAT IS TOY STORY?
Toy Story was the first movie animated completely on a computer. It was a No. 1 box office smash when it first appeared in theatres in 1995 and it took four years to make. Toy Story is a wonderful story that takes place in Andy’s Room. Andy is a six year-old boy who has the usual toy collection in his room. Only these toys are different – they come to life as soon as the humans leave the room! The main characters in Andy’s Room are Woody (the friendly cowboy) and Buzz Lightyear (the new space cadet). Woody is jealous of Buzz at first because he thinks that Buzz is going to replace him as Andy’s favorite toy. Later on in the series, Buzz and Woody become great friends.
