What is top down and bottom up approach of a system analysis..?
These are terms used in management and design. You could most probably find a fair definition for each term in Wikipedia (linked below). Just a short note about top-down and bottom-up approach of design and analysis: In top-down approach. You see the whole system as a few black boxes interacting with each other. At this stage, you don’t care about what is inside each box, and how they work. You just try to model it by its interaction with each other external box. After you reach a complete modeling for each box, you start looking each of these boxes as a new whole system, and do exactly the same for each of them until you reach the most basic element which cannot be analyzed any further. In bottom-up approach, you somehow take a reverse action. You start seeing the details of the system. You identify the basic elements and their interaction with the other basic elements. Then you try to pack some of them to make a small group of elements or a component which can be seen as a single ent
