What is Tonka Fire Trucks?
Tonka Fire Trucks is a 12 page (if you count the covers as appears to be typical of board books) shaped board book with 6 wheels along the base, allowing it to be used as a fire truck when closed with a small plastic snap. It has brightly drawn and realistic pictures. When opened the left page it declares a technical term for a type of rescue truck with a picture of the truck named. On the right page, a picture shows the truck in use. There is a short paragraph on each side describing the truck and its use. For example, the second page opened shows a side view of a ladder truck (of course it bears the name Tonka on its cab) with the following text: Aerial Ladder Truck Red and white lights flash. This speedy ladder truck will get to the fire in a hurry On the opposite page, we see a picture from above of a fireman ascending the ladder to rescue a woman in a very tall building.
