What is Tongkat Ali?
Botanical Name : Eurycoma longifolia Other Name: Pasak Bumi Common Name: Long Jack Eurycoma Longifolia Jack or ‘Tongkat Ali’ For decades, the indigenous populations of South Fast Asia have been using eurycoma longiflolia for its high medicinal value. In Malaysia, the plant is better known as ”Tongkat Ali’ which literally means ‘AIi’s walking stick’, Traditionally, it is valued for its aphrodisiac properties and treatment for diverse ailments ranging from cuts and wounds, skin infection, fever, malaria, high-blood pressure, diabetes to increased energy and standing blood as a aphrodisiac for men. In Indonesia: the plant is called ‘Pasak Bumi and is used for the treatment of dysentery and malaria. The Vietnamese call the plant Cay Ba Binh and say it is the tree that cures a hundred diseases.
