What is TOEFL? How do I register for the tests?
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) aims to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English. TOEFL scores are required for purposes of admission by colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. The test is also used by institutions in other countries where English is the language of instruction. It is offered year round as a computer adaptive test. TOEFL scores are valid for two years after the test date. You may contact the Institute of International Education (IIE) at 0.2652.0653 for local registration or visit the TOEFL web site at www.toefl.org.
