are tithing? In this article, I’ll give you some tips and a brief understanding of what it means to tithe. In the Merriam-Webster dictionary, Tithing is defined as paying or giving a tenth of one’s income for the support of the church. They even have tithing on the Wikipedia site as one-tenth part of something, usually a voluntary contribution. So what does the Bible say about tithing? The Bible makes it law to give one tenth (10 percent) of everything that is produced or earned to be given as a holy sacrifice to the Lord. Technically speaking, everything here on Earth was given to us by God. What we forget is that tithing is not only from an income aspect. It is also through stewardship, praise, prayers and committing some of your time to God that tithing is expressed. It’s funny because I too have a hard time accepting this idea.
