What is this sore boil like spot on daughters leg?
Not meaning to scare you, but the sore on her leg could be anything from an in-grown hair to a Herpes sore, and that is a lot of things to cover. To be more sure, “we” would need to see the sore, to get a better idea. Legally, only a doctor can say. No one should ague with one, since they have a “permit” to practice (!). Thus said, what did the doctor say? Location, location, location. True to land and medicine, sometimes. 🙂 If it is on the back of her leg, she doesn’t need to shave her legs to get a problem with the hair. Some areas can break or rub hair off, just like a razor can cut. In this case, what you describe could be a hair follicle that has become infected and ruptured. If it has covered over and isn’t draining, give it time to see what it does. If the appearance is unsightly, you could use a band aid to hide it, but make sure it can breathe to help speed healing.
