What is this Solid Waste Management and Refuse user fee?
The City of Harrisonburg is mandated to recycle at least 25% of total solid waste it receives annually according to the Code of Virginia. The City has provided recycling services to all city residents for a number of years with no direct fee to the residents who do not receive “regular” solid waste services from the City.
