What is this “Masque of the Red Death” thing that Wendy is doing now?
Answer – Remember when Star Trek was new, and Leonard Nimoy was very concerned with being type-cast as a logical alien for the rest of his acting career? After 30 years of pointed ears, Wendy wanted to take a little break and explore new storytelling and artistic ground. In particular, she’s long been fascinated by Edgar Allen Poe’s very short tone piece (it’s not even really a story), and wanted to give it a twenty-first century (and beyond) spin. Creating the new story as a weekly web-comic gives her the opportunity to stretch her artistic muscles for an audience that may or may not know about her Elfquest work.
