What is thermometric titration?
Thermometric titration uses the rate of change of temperature of a chemical reaction between a titrant (the fluid whose concentration is known) and a titrand (the substance whose concentration must be analyzed) to determine the endpoint of the titration. It is not necessary to know the exact temperature of the fluid. A simple thermistor-based probe is used to monitor solution temperature. The endpoint is determined from an inflection, or bending in the curve. An exclusive digital signal conditioning algorithm accurately locates the exact point of inflection. It is an especially robust method, capable of delivering extremely precise and accurate results.
