Sarasota is known as a cultural center offering live entertainment such as the Ballet, Opera, live theatre, orchestra and jazz concerts. It is home to some of the world’s finest golf courses and the Gulf provides avid fisherman some exciting prospects. Scattered around the downtown area are many quaint and unique dining and nightlife establishments. There are also the educational and historical places to visit such as Mote Marine (complete with a touch tank!), the beautiful Selby Gardens (have lunch in the gardens), the John and Mable Ringling Museum, and Historic Spanish Pointe, among others. If you enjoy shopping, a stroll around St. Armand’s Circle is the place to go.
