What is there to do for non-skiers?
Montgenvre has witnessed a rich and interesting history. The local tourist office provides weekly cultural visits with a guide. There is a natural ice rink, tobogganing, snow-shoe hiking (equipment can be hired locally). Montgenvre is also in an ideal location for non-skiers to take interesting day trips (by bus or car) to other French towns e.g. the historic French market town of Briancon. There are also many lovely walks and it is easy for non-skiers to meet up with the rest of the group for lunch. Turin is within striking distance (1 hour by train from Oulx) for site seeing and shopping, as is Milan (2 hours 30 mins). There are also various aprs-ski activities, including helicopter trips, skidoo rides, bar crawl and quiz nights.
