What is there to do at Lake Lanier?
Lake Lanier Islands is a lakeside resort that draws many visitors of its own accord, beyond its reputation as an excellent houseboat launch site. The resort has, along with first-class lodging and camping accommodations, two golf courses and its own beach and waterpark. Horseback rides on the resort’s trail system are another activity you might want to try shoreside. But once you’re out on the water, the experience changes. Waterskiing, speed- and sail-boating are all given plenty of space on Lake Lanier’s grand expanse, and the Lake Lanier resort is only one one island of many you can explore by houseboat . . . or by canoe. Lanier is also one of Georgia’s best fishing lakes.
