What is the Zone diet meal plan?

Answer: I suggest that you first figure out how much protein you need each day. I bought the book 40-30-30 Fat Burning Nutrition by Joyce & Gene Daoust which really simplifies it and has a 1 week meal plan. However, I really wish they would write a Zone for Dummies book. I just read through the book, referred to a few other materials and did a little web searching. Then I boiled it all down to the fact that I need to eat more protein and less carbohydrates. I cut out all refined foods and replaced the refined carbs with whole grains and voila! The weight fell off like someone had flipped a switch inside me. I should add that I also incorporated aspects of the reactive hypoglycemia diet and don’t eat dairy products at ALL.
