What is the ZMODEM Protocol?
ZMODEM was designed by Chuck Forsberg of Omen Technologies in the late 1980s. ZMODEM is a Sliding window protocol that uses variable packet sizes. ZMODEM works over both 7-bit and 8-bit connections. ZMODEM works with both software (XON/XOFF) flow control and hardware (RTS/CTS) flow control. ZMODEM also has the capability of restarting a file transmission from the point of interruption. • What is FTP?
