Recommended for everyone new to Yoga. The student will learn yogic breathing techniques, foundational asanas (postures), basic alignment and form, and relaxation. The student will be introduced to studio operation, yoga vocabulary and the layout of Yoga Rasa. What do we do in yoga class? In addition to the many self development classes we offer at Yoga Rasa, we have morning, evening, and weekend yoga classes. Each yoga class lasts approximately 75 minutes. We spend about 10 minutes learning meditation and relaxation techniques, and other natural methods of maintaining health. Then we have about 45 minutes of class learning and practicing asanas (yoga postures) followed by 10-15 minutes of special complete relaxation. What do I wear? You should wear comfortable clothing which might consist of leggings, bike shorts, (closed-leg shorts) or loose pants and close-fitting top. You will practice with bare feet for firm footing.
