What is the WTO Trade Policy Review Mechanism (TPRM)?
The purpose of the TPRM is to contribute to improved adherence by all WTO members to the rules, disciplines and commitments of the WTO through greater transparency and understanding of the trade policies and practices of the members. This means in practice that regular reviews of trade policy regimes of all members are conducted every two, four or six years, depending on the importance in world trade of individual countries.
