What is the world-wide web (www)?
The world-wide web is made up of billions of websites linked together with hypertext links. Thousands of new websites and web pages are added to the world-wide web every hour. Websites are located on hosting servers, computers continually connected to the rest of the web. The information is then available to anyone else with access to the Internet. Web pages can have a mixture of text, graphics and multimedia. Nowadays, there’s information on practically anything you could be interested in available somewhere on the web. You can use a search engine to find what you want.
