What is the World Wide Web and how does it differ from the Internet?
The World Wide Web (WWW) was created in 1990 by a physics institutein Switzerland to allow easy access to related documents by usinghypertext links. The Web is actually an agreed-upon set of languagesand protocols (you can think of the Internet as being the hardwareand the Web as being the software). By providing a graphicalinterface and an easy-to-use navigational system, the Web allowsusers to access information like never before.
