What is the workload like for Multicultural Health 8?
Multicultural Health (HE ED 8) is a 3.0 unit lecture class that meets both the Health Requirement and the Diversity Requirement for graduation at Cuesta College. The course content and outcomes are the same for students enrolled in a traditional classroom section of HE 8. As expected of any 3.0 unit lecture course, plan on at least 6-8 hours minimum of work per week ( i.e., 2 hours out of class prep for each unit of instruction per week) to complete assignments and weekly questions. There is one major term paper, a research project which culminates in a midterm exam, and several short report type assignments. HE 8 requires substantial reading and Internet research assignments. There is one group test (impossible to reschedule), two fill-in or short answer exams, and the Research project/midterm. All exams are open book, open note, open workbook, and timed. All exams are proctored during the scheduled Mandatory face-to-face class sessions. Note: students arriving 5-15 minutes late to th
