What Is The Working Process Of DHCP?
DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): The communication devices such as the routers, computers etc. uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol so that the clients or other devices can request and obtain the IP (Internet Protocol) this technique is used in the Server/ Client structures, the DHCP is the only method through which dynamic use of IP addresses is possible. In this method the server has the pool of IP from which it assigns IPs to the devices which have requests for IP. The other parameter such as Subnet masks, DNS addresses, Default gateways can also be configured through Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. With the help of DHCP the human network administrator is not worried about the assignment of IPs to the clients because the DHCP server ensures that the no single IP is assigned to two computers or assign an IP to a computer that is already in use or its lease is not expired.
