What is the Workday Sponsor Program?
This is a program for volunteers to seek funding from friends, co-workers and relatives in order to help Habitat Greater San Francisco build homes in partnership with deserving families. The cost of land, construction materials and tools is high in the San Francisco area. While the average cost of a Habitat house is $60,000 nationwide, our current homes cost between $200,000 and $300,000. We rely on individuals and organizations to help us with our vision to eliminate poverty housing. Participating volunteers can use one of the Workday Sponsor Sheets to collect contributions. Many companies offer matching gift programs and will match contributions and/or volunteer time given by their employees.
