What is the Woodcock-Johnson III?
• The Woodcock-Johnson III (WJ-III) is a current, nationally-normed test that allows us to assess skills and knowledge in several academic areas. Two assessment instruments make up the WJ-III: the Test of Cognitive Abilities and the Test of Academic Achievement. Together, these assessment instruments provide a comprehensive set of test for measuring intellectual abilities and academic achievement. We have selected fifteen sub-tests for the Achievement portion that measures four curricular areas: reading, mathematics, written language, and academic knowledge.
