What is the WOD?
– WOD stands for Workout of the Day which is a daily posted workout that is completely varied but not random; much thought goes into the WOD’s. A crossfitter completes the workout of the day as prescribed. For example, one day the WOD may be one day: Run 5 K for time. This means you would try to achieve your best time. The next day, the WOD might be: Dead Lift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1. This means you would Dead Lift your maximum possible weight for seven sets of one rep.
A. WOD stands for “Workout of the Day”. Every day we post a workout on the website which is the main work component of the sessions that will be coached that day at CrossFit Brisbane. The WOD is programmed based on the crossfit.com template and is designed to provide a constantly varied stimulus using functional movements executed at high intensity. Everyone at CrossFit Brisbane is expected to complete the same WOD every day. This is what makes us a community and ensures that everyone is exposed to the complete CrossFit programming. Make it part of your daily routine!
