What is the winter fuel allowance for this year?
There are two different payments, a cold weather payment (payable to those in income support and other eligible benefits, and are under 60 and is payable when the temp drops below zero for more than a few days and if eligible is automatic) and the other which is the payment every year to the over 60’s and is a lump sum of around £250 (Edit i stand corrected, just read the link, and is between £125 and £400 depending on circumstances) Please have a look at the links below.
