What is the (white) pre-filter?
The pre-filter (2000-25D) is a mechanical filter media consisting of a unique blend of synthetic fibers which generate electrical charges on the fiber surface. The result is a highly stable, coarse fibered electrostatic filter media. Its purpose is to “trap” large particles such as dust, mold, and mites, before they would otherwise reach the filter, and therefore prolong the life of the high efficiency (HE) filter.
