This is the balance plug. It can be used with a balancer to insure safe charging of your lipo. It also gives you access to each cell in the pack so you can manually check voltage. Lipo packs need to be balancer to charge and discharge correctly. Failure to check this could lead to battery failure or worse. ie: fire.
