What is the weather like?
Bulgaria has long been a summer tourist destination, as well as offering popular winter resorts. Generally summers are longer and warmer (and guaranteed) whilst the winters are shorter but can be more severe. The Black Sea coast is less cold in the winter and rarely sees snow. For 5 months (May – September) average temperatures are 25 degrees Celsius and often above in the peak summer period.
Cielo Paraiso is in the tropical highlands of Panama. The weather is described as “spring-like” throughout the year. Neither heating nor air conditioning are required. The two main seasons here are summer and winter, or the dry season and the green season. Throughout the area of Boquete there are many different micro-climates. The micro-climate at Cielo Paraiso is very temperate. The summer months; December through June see very little rain, warm days with cool nights. As we are in the lee of the Jaramillo Mountains we are nicely sheltered from the north winds. We are open to the south and most of the air movement at Cielo Paraiso is from gentle breezes off the Pacific. In late June to July we start to get tropical rains in the afternoon a few times a week. September and October have more precipitation but usually the mornings are clear and sunny and the rain starts in the afternoon.
