What is the weather like?
ANS: You need to be prepared for sudden weather changes while trekking. That’s why trekking equipment should be chosen carefully before the trip. Sudden rain storms or snow are always a possibility which needs to be considered. The weather during the trekking season is somewhat more stable. “Nepal Mountain Trekking” pays big attention to weather forecast, so you will be told about weather prognosis and you will be given advises before trek.
Oregon weather is often noted as being unpredictable. Here in The Grove, you can expect it to be very warm when you arrive in August (90’s), cool from late September until Mid October (70’s and cooler), Rainy from mid-October through April, with a little sun and snow in between. May is a tricky month. It will be cool, then extremely warm, and often rain unpredictably.
There are basically two seasons in Nicaragua – hot & dry (December through to May) and hot & wet (May to November)! It rarely rains all day in the wet season but often rains at night – great for studying as the days are fresh. Because the Mariposa is quite high up (about 500 metres) we nearly always have a breeze and so it is cooler here than in the lowlands. It can actually get quite cold at night.
