What is the weather like in Honolulu during the first week(s) of October?
I have a good friend who has lived in Honolulu for 10 years and I’ve had the pleasure of visiting often, virtually every month of the year. October is hands-down the BEST month of the year to visit, in my opinion! The heat and humidity of late summer on the leeward side of the island (honolulu) can be overwhelming for some, but by early fall the weather is consistently PERFECT! An added bonus is that the summer crowds will have diminished significantly. Once the rainy season is in full-swing, (Nov-May) you run the risk of a spoiled vacation or at least a spoiled view! There are certainly more fair days than stormy, but it’s a chance you take. And even if you arrive after a storm has passed, the “gorgeous aquamarine water” will be a murky-gray! A suggestion for a first time visitor RE: flight/accomodations would be PleasantHolidays.com. And be sure to rent a car! One final thought… A wise Hawaiian once said; “The best time to visit Hawaii is when it’s the worst time where you are…”
