What is the weather like in Florida in end of April – May?
I went Florida for 6 Months. From April to Early June your looking around late 20’s early 30’s. July and August, it reached 42c one day so around mid to late 30’s. The heat isnt the killer it is the humidity, take plenty of water at all times, keep children in the shade and always use the cooling centres they provide. The humidity blows you away it is horrendous. Went i went they had a heat wave. Also Florida has very local thunder storms, you havent seen rain until you been to florida. thunderstorms nearly everyday for about an hour, the parks and tv radio will tell you usualy what time they will occur. Have a good time there is loads to do just remember the little things, water (i took frozen bottles of water to carry around), fans, hats and sun cream. April and May are both nice because the weather is still on the cool side, but it doesn’t get quite as cool as it can in the winter months. For some people, it can get a little too cold for swimming in December, January, Febuary and March. So, in April and May it is not as hot as it is in the summer, but still warm enough for most to swim. May tends to run a little warmer than April, since you are getting closer to summer, but not too much warmer. Rain wise, it tends to rain a little less in April than May, but it all depends. It generally rains every day in Orlando, quick showers that don’t last too long.
