WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE IN DURBAN?
It is like a long summer. December through to April is very hot and humid with days often peaking around the low 30’s and nights around 20 C. From May through to August the days are generally sunny and warm with temperatures peaking mid 20’s and nights between 10 to 15C. In winter the occasional cold front (usually not more than one a month) comes up from Cape Town making for exciting sailing conditions and cooler weather for a couple of days before the sun comes out again. People in Durban very seldom get to wear more than a light jersey or sweater in winter.
