What is the weather like in California/Nevada during December?

My long-lost Australian twin is coming to my crazy-beautiful city! Wait. Are you actually coming to LA, or somewhere else in CA? Aw, I hope you come here. Okay, I’ll chillax now and actually give you a proper answer to your question. The weather varies dramatically throughout the states of California and Nevada, so it’s hard to give specific advice on what to pack without knowing the cities you’ll be visiting. I spent a few months of my summer (your winter) in Australia when I was 12, and Sydney is like LA’s doppelganger in many ways. The weather there tends to be slightly more humid there than it does here, but otherwise it’s fairly similar. December
