What is the weather like in Boise? What fun outdoor activities do people do there?
I lived in Boise for 7 years and it’s gorgeous there. It does get cold and snow in the winter although not tons and tons of snow and they are usually prepared with the snow plows so the roads don’t get bad. It gets hot in the summer but there’s no humidity to speak of so you don’t sweat. It also cools down considerably in the evenings so you get relief from the heat. Boise is a layers place. Bring layers of clothing to peel off at various times during the day. Even in winter because the sun may make the day warm. Hiking, camping, bycycling, motocross, floating the river, rafting, lots of hunting, mushroom clubs, bird watching clubs, golf, Steelheads hockey, skiing at Bogus Basin, Boogie Boarding, snowmobiling, and of course, Boise does have a decent nightlife downtown. If they’d just put Boise on a coast, you couldn’t pry me out of there with a crowbar. I’ve got to have the ocean and my sailboat.
