What is the War Pensions Scheme?

0

You can claim a War Disablement Pension if your disability, including deafness, was caused by military service before 6 April 2005 . For injury or disability caused on or after that date, it has been replaced by the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. Since 2007, veterans in England, Scotland and Wales are entitled to priority health treatment for all medical conditions due to military service, whether or not they claim a war pension. For more information, see our factsheet War Pensions and priority health treatment for veterans.
