What is the Waitlist?

0

The Recreation Department provides 1 waitlist: The automated waitlist for an offering opens when an offering’s enrollment fills up. To prevent over-enrolling, our system tracks both paid and pending (added to a cart) against the total number of available spots for any offering To ensure that an offering left unpaid for in a cart does not keep an offering closed, every 15 minutes all pending offerings older than 15 minutes are automatically cleared. If this action causes an offering to re-open, the entire waitlist receives instant email notification and the offering’s link flips from “waitlist” to “add to cart.” At this point registration is, as always, first-come-first-served.

A limited number of students may register for a given class. When the limit is reached the class enrollment is closed. Students wishing to enroll after a class is closed are put on a waitlist for the class. As openings become available, those on the waitlist are automatically enrolled in the class and are notified by the Office of the Registrar.
