What is the waiting list?
The waiting list allows you to enter a queue for the next available appointment. On the Waiting List section of the Appointment-Plus system you may designate a preferred stylist, but users of the waiting list are subject to availability. Select the pet you wish to place on the waiting list. You may also specify special instructions for your pets care. We encourage you to leave a phone number so you may be contacted for an appointment. Once youve entered the necessary information, click the “Waiting List Confirmation” button and a message will confirm your have been added to the list. Your stylist will contact you to confirm your appointment. IT IS IMPORTANT YOU LEAVE CONTACT INFORMATION IN THE SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FIELD SO YOUR STYLIST MAY CONTACT YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. You can either begin a “New Search” or click the “Im Done” link to return to the home page.
When a class is filled, a waiting list of up to 5 individuals will be maintained by the Registrar’s Office. If a seat opens up (there are no guarantees that a seat will ever open up), BHCC will contact you by phone. You must either answer the call or have voice mail. If you are not home, BHCC will leave a message for you on your voicemail. You will need to respond to the message Services within 24 hours or the seat will be offered to the next person on the waiting list. The Advising Center does not have access to your status on the waiting list.
The waiting list consists of children that have applied, been screened and enrolled in our program. We currently have over 100 children on our waiting list. The majority of those are boys, and they can sometimes wait up to 2 years for a Big Brother. Girls normally wait no longer than 3-6 months for a Big Sister.
When there is not enough money available to help all families asking for child care aid, the county keeps a list of those waiting for help. The waiting list will show the date we received your questionnaire and your Priority Level. You can ask to be added to the list if your gross income is below 47 % of the State Median Index. Actual eligibility will not be decided until your name comes to the top of the list and you file an application. If your name is on the waiting list this does not guarantee eligibility or funding for child care. Moving from another Minnesota County? There is not a state-wide waiting list. If you are on a waiting list in one county and move to a new county, you do not have priority for a position on a waiting list in the new county. If you are already receiving child care help in another county, and move, this is called Portability. You can be put on the waiting list even if you are not living in Dakota County. You will have 60 days to move to Dakota County once
