The Voodoo 2 ™ is the successor of the Voodoo Graphics ™ chipset, featuring several improvements. It is announced for late March 1998, and annoucements of Voodoo 2 ™ based boards have been published e.g. by Quantum 3D, by Creative Labs, Orchid Technologies, and Diamond Multimedia. The Voodoo 2 ™ is supposed to be backwards compatible. However, a new version of Glide will have to be ported to Linux.
