A. The Visa Buxx card is a prepaid spending card; like a prepaid phone card or a store gift card, but can be used everywhere Visa is accepted. It works by limiting the amount of money available for spending by the dollar amount on the card. The Visa Buxx card is not a debit card because it does not access a checking or savings account, and it is not a credit card because it does not have a line of credit. The Sponsor, typically a parent, enrolls for Visa Buxx and adds a Cardholder, typically a teen. The Sponsor can add and remove funds and even setup an allowance schedule.
