What is the Vial for Life?
The Vial for Life is a small tube that you store in your refrigerator. Inside the tube is a medical form that includes important information, such as the name and phone number of your doctor, the medications you are taking, any allergies you may have, and any special care you may need. How is the Vial for Life Used? In the event of an emergency, the Vial for Life provides a quick and easy way for Emergency Medical System (EMS) staff to get important medical information about you if you are unable to communicate or become unconscious, so that you can be properly treated. The Vial for Life also is helpful when you travel. Simply put it in your purse, suitcase or tote bag, and use a luggage tag to let emergency staff know where to find your Vial. It is similar to wearing a medical alert neck chain or bracelet.
