Prof Park Jae Woo used to say:” The correspondence is the pearl of SuJok”. The principle of correspondence in Standard Body Correspondence System signifies a head of the body is correspondent to a thumb (hand) and a big toe (foot). This obvious visual similarity determines other four fingers correspondent to four body extremities. All four body extremities go the same direction while a head goes different way. It is exactly the same case in the hand were all four fingers go the same direction while a thumb goes different way. All four body extremities going out of the trunk have three major parts as it is exactly the case with four fingers having three phalanges. But above trunk there are only two parts, neck and head, matching exactly only two phalanges of the thumb out of the palm.
