Great question!! Odyssey was traveling at 12,129 miles per hour when it arrived at Mars. Upon arrival the spacecraft performed a burn to slow down to 9,784 miles per hour and allow it to be captured into Mars orbit. Currently, Odyssey is traveling at 2 miles per second or approximately 7,200 miles per hour. Thanks for the question!
