What is the value of a “Cyborg Intake System” by Injen?
I’m not sure whether the intake you mention is a true cold air intake – which would get its air supply from the fender well or another place that’s open to the cold, outside air. If it is a “short ram” intake, one that takes air from a location under the hood, my assessment of it will be somewhat less. A CAI – Cold Air Intake – will increase horsepower on a 4-cylinder engine significantly. Cold air contains more oxygen, and any car with a closed loop programmed fuel injection system will be able to take advantage of it. I think the equation is roughly 1 HP at the wheels for every 11 degrees F you can lower the intake air temperature, but it varies from engine to engine. You will also improve the airflow to the intake manifold, reducing pumping losses. Honda engines, in particular, love them. If the Cyborg (I searched for it, came up blank) is a short ram system, you will still get some gains due to breathing efficiency, but they will be offset somewhat by the fact that you’ll be taking
