What is the usual length of a wedding ceremony, and reception?
Allow an hour for the ceremony. To set the mood as your guests arrive, musicians begin prelude music approximately 15 minutes before your processional. After the kiss, they play postlude music, as the bridal party and guests are escorted out. The long form of the Catholic Wedding Mass may add up to 30 minutes. Most receptions last four hours. If yours might go longer, an overtime rate will be quoted. You may add additional time at the event, as needed.
