What is the USP of Hanuman?
I think this film has its own USP- Hanuman being an Indian god and quite favourite with children, it should draw audiences. In fact it was this that I kept in mind while composing the 6 songs for the film- I combined the bigness of Hanuman with the cuteness of kids in the melodies- I have one number which has nine singers-Shaan, Madhushree, Palash Sen, Sonu Nigam, Sneha Pant, Kailash Kher, Sapna Mukherji, Vijay Prakash and myself. We have shot a video for the album. There’s acute number on Baby hanuman who dominates the first half of the film-one full song is picturized on the baby and sung by Shravan/ I think this will open up a new space for animation in India. The songs are not bhajans but powerful melodies that you can dance to. My whole approach was not to make it very devotional but to give it a world music feel.
