What is the UPC Panel that my rebate application asks for?
The UPC (Universal Product Code) panel is a unique identifying bar-code panel on the exterior of the product package. If you find more than one bar-code panel on your package, the required UPC panel will be the one including the prefix number 18208, followed by another five-digit number that is specific to the Nikon product contained in the package. Some Nikon packages also include a separate UPC bar-code panel that specifies the product’s serial number. Any additional bar-code panels are likely those of the retailer and are not acceptable substitutes for the required UPC panel. Please see the illustration on your Rebate Application Form.
